About this tool
A meeting's real cost is the combined salary time of everyone in the room. This multiplies attendees by hourly rate and duration, then projects the annual total if it repeats — a recurring "quick sync" adds up more than it feels like. Annual salary converts to hourly using 2,080 working hours/year (40hr × 52 weeks).
What this doesn't account for
This is base salary time only — it doesn't include benefits/overhead (often 20-40% more), prep/follow-up time, or opportunity cost. Treat it as a conservative floor, not a full accounting.
