Animal Chess (Jungle)
Get an animal into your opponent's den to win. Higher rank beats lower — except the Rat, which alone can take the Elephant.
Your move — you are Red (bottom).
Rank 1–8: Rat, Cat, Dog, Wolf, Leopard, Tiger, Lion, Elephant. Blue = river (Rat only; Lion/Tiger leap across, blocked by a Rat in the water). Orange = traps (any piece can capture an enemy standing there).
About this game
Played on a 7×9 board with 8 ranked animals (1 Rat to 8 Elephant). Equal-or-higher rank captures — except the Rat can take the Elephant (only from land). Reach the opponent's den to win instantly.
Terrain
Only the Rat can enter the river; Lion/Tiger leap across it in one move (unless a Rat blocks the water). The three squares around each den are traps — an enemy piece there loses its rank until it moves off.

Play the computer (which looks a few moves ahead, weighing material, den-proximity and safe captures) or pass the device for local two-player.
