About color vision deficiency
About 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women have some form of color vision deficiency. Designers and developers use simulators like this to check that important information isn't conveyed by color alone.
This tool applies published approximation matrices in sRGB space — a fast, common technique, though not a full physiologically-accurate LMS-space simulation. Everything runs on an offscreen canvas; nothing is uploaded.
